betty & dupree, great song only played once I think in 67, as far as what is circulated.
That song and one from Pigpen from the same show, Alice D Millioniare, really stood out to me, I cherish them grately being the only performence i could find of them.

Just love the way Jerry sings it, I think Ill put that one on today.

alright LA!

The other one ("the old man on the bus") is also a one-of-a-kind live recording.

Now can anyone guess this without googling?
It's definitely Grateful Dead, not a solo project...

"Sheherezade gathering stories to tell
From primal gold fantasy petals that fall"

Just because of Sheherezade reference, I assume off Blues for Allah but I can't think of the tune that has the same.

If I google, I won't post. [and I was quite wrong - no surprise there]

Blues For Allah was a good guess, BD!

Here's another couplet from the same song:

"Allah, pray where are you now
All Mohammed's men blinded by the sparkling waters"

That is off of Aoxomoxoa. I have listened to this song way too many times ahh the summer of mushrooms. well it is what's become of the baby. On a side note whenever i have a kid its name will be Aoxomoxoa Zimmerman or Aoxomoxoa Rhianon.

"So it goes, we make what we made since the world began
Nothing more, the love of the women, work of men"

40 years after it's creation I'm beginning to warm up to What's Become Of The Baby...

It's got a beat and you can dance to it, as the record raters on American Bandstand used to always say.
